The effects of Trauma

Picture
Not all bad things (adverse events)mean you will end up being traumatised. But any of those can cause Trauma, so don't feel that what happened to you  wasn't "bad enough" to be considered trauma.

Generally speaking, if you are having symptoms of trauma, and there is some event that you think caused it or maybe is connected to it, we can call that a Traumatic event. However, in some cases the Trauma was caused by some kind of event that you cannot remember clearly, or at all, for some reason.

You don't need to be sure what the Trauma was caused by to be able to be sure if you have Trauma. The symptoms are enough for us to be able to help you.

Typical symptoms of Trauma include:
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts and behaviour
  • Out of control feelings, such as Rage
  • Grief
  • Addictions
  • Feeling numb
  • Difficulty concentrating, remembering or making decisions
  • Confused memories
  • Low self esteem
  • Poor relationships

and this is not an exhaustive list.

No matter which of these, or any other issues, we can help you make sense of them and take back control of your life. We have an instant booking form you can fill in right now. You'll find all of our services on the booking form. Just tick which service/s you need.
