What causes trauma?

ContMental Trauma can be caused by many different events, such as:

The 10 ACEs (Adverse Childhood Events) measured in the research conducted by the Center for Disease Control are:
  • Physical abuse
  • Child Abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Verbal abuse
  • Physical neglect
  • Emotional neglect
  • A family member who is depressed or diagnosed with other mental illness
