Help to support those you care for

Parents & Carers

This peer support group is for parents and carers of youth who have depression, anxiety, have self harmed, suicidal ideation amongst any other mental health issues.  Here you will meet others who understand it is a tough road to travel.

You try your best to provide your child with the best life possible and when they are facing issues that you cannot control and protect them from, you are left feeling powerless, feeling as though you have failed them somehow. Wondering what you did wrong and maybe if you had have done this or that differently, then everything would be on track. There may even be a part of you that wishes they could snap out of it, even though you know it's not that simple.

There are other people who are going through similar experiences. This is a place to release and share. Be heard and seen. Be understood. As a caregiver, it is crucial to take care of your needs so you can perform to your ultimate capacity, because you matter too.

This group is for those who have experienced, or are experiencing this to have a place to talk about their situation in complete privacy. You can choose to be in a group of only your own gender if you prefer.

You may choose whether to attend in person, or on-line; such as zoom etc.

All groups, whether in person or online, have two trained co-facilitators.
