Victims of Family Violence

Support group for survivors of Family Violence

This group is for those who have experienced, or are experiencing violence in a family, to have a place to talk about their situation in complete privacy. You can choose to be in a group of only your gender if you like.

We know that family violence has nothing to do with gender. Violence can happen in any family and takes place in relationships of all genders. Any one person, regardless of gender can be abusive to their partner, also regardless of gender.

IPVis the formal term these days for violence in relationships.  It is also often termed spousal abuse, "wife beating", family violence and other words. The traditional view of IPV is that of a male (husband) physically abusing a female (wife).

However anyone can find themselves in this situation.

All groups, whether in person or online, have two trained co-facilitators.
